Ethel Clay Price Scholarship
The Ethel Clay Price Scholarship was established in 1964 in memory of Ethel Clay Price, the first graduate of Watts School of Nursing in 1897. The Watts School of Nursing Alumni Association Officers and Board Members administer the scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to those who may be currently pursuing their nursing education at the school of nursing and graduates completing an advanced degree or completing continuing education in the field of nursing or specialty area.
Applications for degree students are accepted and awarded twice per calendar year. All applicants currently enrolled in a school of nursing must have completed one semester of their nursing program and have a current GPA of 3.0. (A student or graduate may only receive one scholarship per calendar year).
Along with the application, all degree seeking applicants are required to submit a statement of standing and overall GPA from the College President or the Associate Director of Nursing Education.
Applications from alumni who need financial assistance to attend a Continuing Education session will be reimbursed upon receipt of the application, payment receipt and certificate of attendance within the last 12 months.
All applications must be submitted by June 15th (awarded for Fall semester for degree students), and December 19th (awarded for Spring semester for degree students).
All funds supporting the scholarship are received through contributions.

DR. RUTH COX SCHOLARSHIP
The Dr. Ruth Cox scholarship was established in 2023 by Dr. Ruth Cox, a 1968 Watts School of Nursing graduate, to individuals currently pursuing an Advanced Degree in psychiatric nursing.
All applications must be submitted by June 15 (Fall award) and December 19 (Spring award).
